Nang is a Battambang, Cambodia native and has been involved in sports his whole life. He was on the provincial volleyball team during his teens and attended Sports School, graduating as a Sports Instructor in 2001. He is an AFC "C" Licensed soccer coach and a provincial and high school volleyball coach. He is also a Deputy Sport Official in Battambang Province with the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and has worked with Spirit of Soccer since 2006. Nang is universally loved by the children he coaches and is known for his sense of humor.
